Job summary

AgWest Equipment Ltd is seeking a Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of agricultural equipment in our Brandon shop. You will work on tractors, combines, sprayers, and more, ensuring peak performance for our customers.

You will use diagnostic tools and collaborate with service staff to provide top-notch service, maintaining safety and organization in a well-equipped shop environment.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent experience.
• Experience in agricultural equipment repair and maintenance is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a wide range of agricultural equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on tractors, combines, sprayers, and other heavy-duty agricultural machinery.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and resolve issues.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance.
