Toromont Cat is seeking a Shop Technician in St. John's, NL, to service Caterpillar equipment and components. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and creating service reports.

This full-time permanent position offers an hourly wage of $47.30 along with a comprehensive benefits package including health care, training opportunities, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of working experience as a Technician.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.

• Demonstrate safe work behaviors in support of health and safety policies.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment.
• Repair and service Caterpillar and heavy equipment.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Type: Full Time, Permanent

Compensation: $47.30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety policies, programs, and initiatives
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
• Repair and service Caterpillar and all heavy equipment within established standards
• Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner
• Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication
• Undertake assignments as required in support of customer needs

Qualifications

• Minimum post‑secondary education and a valid Technician Licence relative to this position, following provincial standards
• Minimum 3‑5 years of working experience as a Technician
