Job description

As a Fire Extinguisher Shop Technician at Sprouse Fire & Safety, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and compliance of fire extinguishers. Your expertise in inspection, maintenance, repair, and recharging will help maintain safety standards and protect lives and property.

Responsibilities :

  1. Inspections and Maintenance :
    • Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers to check for damage, leaks, proper pressure, and expiration dates.
    • Perform routine maintenance to ensure extinguishers are in optimal working condition.
  2. Recharging and Pressure Testing :
    • Recharge fire extinguishers with the appropriate extinguishing agent.
    • Conduct pressure tests to verify the functionality and reliability of extinguishers.
  3. Installation and Repair :
    • Install new fire extinguishers and repair damaged ones.
    • Ensure all extinguishers are properly secured and operational.
  4. Documentation :
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Document any deficiencies and corrective actions taken.
  5. Safety Compliance :
    • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety protocols.
  6. Inventory Management :
    • Manage and replenish inventory of fire extinguisher parts and supplies.
    • Monitor stock levels and order necessary items to maintain inventory.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in fire extinguisher inspection, maintenance, and repair.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
