We are actively seeking a Shop Supervisor for our Cambridge, Ontario location (shift to be determined upon hire).

The Shop Supervisor will oversee daily shop activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives are met. Reporting to the Focus Shop Manager, this role manages shop personnel directly.

Accountabilities

Safety Compliance

• Hold safety meetings, perform audits, and coordinate maintenance for machinery safety.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety observations.
• Investigate accidents with JHSC and EHS, ensure PPE compliance, and train employees.

Schedule Achievement

• Ensure on-time delivery and work with schedulers to meet targets.
• Order tools, collaborate with engineers on fixtures, and communicate schedules effectively.

Manage Shop Personnel

• Manage staff according to collective agreements, maintain professional relations, oversee attendance, and provide coaching or discipline as needed.

Cost Objectives

• Monitor production levels and ensure accurate manual data entry.
• Develop cost improvement initiatives and review productivity reports.

Training

• Ensure employees are trained on BWXT procedures, quality, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• College Diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.

Base salary in Ontario is expected to range from $82,000 to $126,000 annually, with total compensation including incentives and benefits based on experience and market factors. Details will be provided upon job offer.
