Job Description

The Shop Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Refiner Service center, including managing all administrative requirements and supervising workshop employees. Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations for the site, equipment, and staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing daily operations of the Refiner Rebuild Center, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
  • Overseeing refurbishment and rebuilding of refiner components, ensuring quality and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Leading and motivating a team of technicians and staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Implementing safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Supporting team members to maintain safety, quality, and project timelines, fostering a culture of efficiency and growth.
  • Supervising shipping, inventory management, and collaboration with operations and procurement teams.
  • Monitoring project progress, performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring project targets are met, including labor efficiency, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintaining production schedules and participating in production meetings.
  • Handling special projects as assigned.

Required skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Supervisory experience in a millwright or machinist background.
  • Over ten years of experience in manufacturing or service-related fields involving close-tolerance machining, metalworking, materials, and capital planning.
  • Strong preference for TPM, Lean, and 5S methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.
