Summary

Pave-Al Limited specializes in Road and Highway Construction for the public sector, as well as airport runways and industrial parking lots for the private sector. As one of the leading road construction contractors and asphalt pavement producers in the Greater Toronto Area, we take pride in our workmanship, excellent customer service, and quality asphalt pavements. Pave-Al provides a wide range of Paving and Construction services for all types of clients, consistently delivering projects efficiently and cost-effectively. As a Shop Mechanic, you will provide the required repairs and servicing to the equipment throughout Pave-Als fleet in order to provide the level of service our clients expect.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 310T or 310S License (or apprentice)
· Valid G license
· Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
· Possess own set of tools
· Comfortable working outdoors in any season
· Available to work nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· DZ license, an asset
· Experience in heavy construction equipment is an asset
· Road side service experience
· Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
· Welding and fabrication experience

Day in the life

You will be the backbone of our fleet, responsible for servicing and maintaining all of our equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks and equipment, hydraulics, electrical and heavy power trains. Each day will be different as some service calls are off site or require emergency on-road repairs requiring you to diagnose and rectify the problem. Preventative and predictive maintenance will be important to stay on top of, as well as daily servicedocumentation to ensure overall organization of the shop. Safety will always be your number one priority as you promote, lead, and execute a safety-first culture for all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants. Your opinion will be valued as you assist in decision making for any outside repairs to the equipment as well as support for overall general shop maintenance. You will be an essential part of our team ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, like a well-oiled machine.
