Job description

The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The Shop Manager is responsible for the day-to-day safety and operation of our hauling and construction shop in Sarnia, ON.

The successful candidate should possess strong mechanical knowledge of Class 8 highway tractors and trailers.

About The Position

  • Supervising and supporting employees, scheduling work, approving holidays, and monitoring staffing levels.
  • Controlling and managing workflow in the shop.
  • Managing standard repair times, prioritizing required repairs, and overseeing work quality.
  • Communicating and coordinating any equipment needed in the shop with Operations.
  • Participating in employee relations, such as dispute resolution, discipline, and communications in conjunction with leadership and human resources.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
Qualifications And Skills

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Technician or experience to supplement.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and relevant skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a service-driven mindset.

This is a full-time position located in the city of Brandon where the successful candidate must reside or be willing to relocate.
