Emcon Services Inc. in Dorchester, Ontario is seeking a Shop Labourer to support our mechanical team with in-shop and yard duties, including washing, greasing, inventory, and vehicle maintenance. Qualifications

• The successful candidate must have a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence.
• Ability and willingness to work independently or as part of a team; willing to travel.
• Be helpful, friendly and courteous with the public, regulatory agencies and peers.
• Be punctual and willing to work shift work including weekends and all seasons/weather.
• Forklift operator certificate is considered an asset.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Clean up in the shop and yard maintenance (snow removal/salting), washing and greasing trucks, shipping and receiving and other shop help as required.
• Assist in organizing parts/inventory and travel to complete part pick ups/drop offs from vendors.
• Maintain parts and tires inventory.
• Assist mechanical staff in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with drop off/pick up of vehicles and equipment.
• Operate equipment within the yard.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, the Shop Labourer is responsible for:

• Clean up in the shop and outside yard maintenance (including snow removal/salting), washing and greasing trucks, shipping and receiving and any other shop help as required;
• Assisting in the shop with organizing parts/inventory and travelling when required to complete part pick ups/drop offs from vendors etc;
• Maintaining parts and tires inventory;
• Assist Mechanical Staff in vehicle maintenance and repairs;
• Assist with drop off/pick up of vehicles and equipment;
• Operate equipment within the yard;
• Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate must have:

This is a unionized role. Pay Rate: $20.50 - 23.50/hr Emcon Services has the following conditions of employment: satisfactory drug pre-screening and Driver’s Abstract.
