Job summary

Toromont Cat is seeking a Rental Shop Helper in Guelph to support shop workflows by organizing and maintaining a safe, efficient work area. You will assist Shop Technicians and Supervisors to maximize productivity and ensure timely customer orders.

The role requires a high school diploma (or 3+ years in a similar function), a valid G driver's license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a garage-like environment. Training and growth opportunities are provided within Toromont Cat.

Qualifications

• Must have completed high school or 3+ years in a similar shop support role.
• Valid G driver's license.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
• Comfortable in a garage-style environment with mechanical inclination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, organized shop areas and support technicians and supervisors.
• Track, store and maintain tooling and ensure safe operation.
• Calibrate tools and manage expiry dates.
• Locate, move and clean equipment before and after repairs as needed.
• Prepare component lists for pickup or shipping, and assist with on-road tasks as required.
