Job summary

Autism Services in Canada is seeking a Precast Shop Worker to produce quality precast concrete products in a safe, efficient, and team‑oriented environment.

You will prepare forms, install rebar and embeds, pour and finish concrete, strip products, and maintain a clean work area while following safety procedures. Experience in construction or manufacturing is an asset; ability to read a tape measure and use hand and power tools is important.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb and performing manual labour.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, oil, and assemble precast forms.
  • Install rebar, mesh, lifting anchors, embeds, and insulation from shop drawings.
  • Measure and verify dimensions before concrete placement.
  • Place, consolidate, and finish concrete.
  • Strip finished products without causing damage.
  • Patch, grind, and finish concrete as required.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and shop equipment when trained.
  • Load and unload materials and finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report quality issues immediately.
  • Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions.
  • Read shop drawings and production sheets.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with general shop maintenance as needed.

PRECAST SHOP WORKER
