Job summary

Bidell Gas Compression is seeking a Shop Mechanic for our Salve Lake, AB location. The role focuses on rebuilding natural gas engines and compressors, and mentoring apprentices in a hands-on shop environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright certificate, demonstrate knowledge of gas engines and compressors, and work effectively both independently and within a team, while maintaining safety and accuracy in all duties.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyman Mechanic or Millwright certificate.
• Knowledge of natural gas engines and compressors is required.
• Well organized with the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Strong leadership ability to guide day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild natural gas engines and components.
• Rebuild natural gas screw and reciprocating compressors.
• Mentor apprentices as required.
• Shipping & receiving and associated paperwork.
