Aecon in Redcliff, Alberta is seeking a Shop Foreperson to lead licensed Heavy‑Duty Technicians and apprentices. The role blends hands‑on diagnostics and repairs with supervision, workflow planning, safety leadership and administrative tasks to ensure safe, reliable, cost‑effective operations.

You will supervise daily shop activities, assign work, mentor technicians, review timesheets and coordinate field repairs with the Service Manager.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction tools/equipment maintenance.
• 5-7 years in a Shop Foreperson role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work on flexible schedules and on-call rotation.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise daily shop activities and assign work.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs as priorities require.
• Review technician timesheets and requisitions.
• Ensure safety, quality and manufacturer requirements are met.
• Coordinate with Service Manager and Equipment Admin for field repairs.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
