Job summary

Kilmarnock Enterprise is seeking a Shop Supervisor to oversee shop activities, ensure quality workmanship, enforce safety policies, and manage a team of workers. You will assign work, monitor timelines, and coordinate with Trenton and New Liskeard to optimize production flow.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership, blueprint reading ability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans.
• Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• First Aid Certificate beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead morning huddles focusing on daily goals, safety and productivity.
• Manage shop schedule and coordinate with other locations.
• Coordinate with machine shop for machining projects as needed.
• Track jobs, hours and progress; flag conflicts and delays.
• Review timesheets and sign off.
• Backfill shop staffing as needed and manage material flow.
• Maintain shop equipment PM programs and safety compliance.
