Job description

Position: Shop & Yard Labourer

Project Location: Saskatoon

Shift: 8 hr. days (some additional OT hours required)

Schedule: Monday To Friday

GC: Graham

Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Shop and Yard Labourer for work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Shop and Yard in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

As a Shop and Yard Labourer, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and reporting hazardous or unsafe areas.
  • Demonstrating understanding of hand signals.
  • Demonstrating protocol for using radios.
  • General clean up, sweeping, etc.
  • Setting up fueling equipment and refueling equipment.
  • Setting up propane heaters.
  • Preparing for each task.
  • Organizing equipment and supplies.
  • Attending safety meetings.
  • Identifying necessary tools.
  • Dewatering.
  • Removing snow.
  • Assisting with inventory.
  • Organizing and maintaining yard.
  • Installing safety fences and railings.
  • Identifying appropriate tools for necessary tasks.
  • Handling all power tools.
  • Using skill saw, drills, sawzall, concrete vibrator, compressor, and jackhammer in a safe manner.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of construction experience (preferred).
  • Driving Licence (required).
  • Experience operating a forklift (preferred but not required).
