Job summary

Manufacturing Job Site in Richmond, BC is seeking a Forklift Operator - Shipyard Logistics to safely move and store materials across the shipyard to support production requirements.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, staging, and coordinating with Shipping & Receiving and Production. Candidates should have 2+ years of forklift experience and valid certification, with strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years forklift/material-handling experience in industrial settings.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Ability to work safely around active production and heavy equipment.
• Good communication with multiple departments.
• Physical capability to perform duties.
• Basic computer/recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment throughout the shipyard.
• Load, unload, move and stage materials, equipment and supplies.
• Organize and maintain material storage, staging and laydown areas.
• Allocate and relocate materials based on project needs.
• Ensure materials are identified, accessible and securely stored.
• Coordinate material movement with Shipping & Receiving and Production.
• Assist with locating materials, counts and inventory checks as required.
• Maintain organized yard and storage areas; follow safety procedures.
• Perform equipment inspections and report hazards or damage.
• Conduct general yard logistics and housekeeping duties.
