About The Role

Lafarge seeks a Shipping Yard/Labourer at our Exshaw AB cement plant. Responsibilities include covering for a Shipper during leave, supporting shipping operations, maintaining safety and cleanliness, operating light mobile equipment, and assisting in plant tasks. Adherence to safety practices is mandatory.

What You’ll Accomplish

1. Support shipment of finished products via truck and rail.
2. Maintain cleanliness in shipping areas.
3. Troubleshoot and make decisions as needed.
4. Operate light mobile equipment.
5. Work in various plant environments, following safety protocols.
6. Receive instructions and perform physical activities like lifting, climbing, and handling materials.
7. Assist with minor repairs and debris removal.
8. Complete risk assessments before tasks.
9. Promote safety and environmental policies.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical fitness, good communication, computer, numeracy, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and adhere to safety protocols.
