Job description

Shipping Specialist l Manufacturing l Pickering

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Pickering, ON

Work Model: Full-time, Onsite

About the Company

Join a global manufacturing leader with a reputation for quality, performance, and customer service. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where strong admin skills and a passion for getting the details right make a real impact.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Shipping Specialist to handle BOL creation and customs paperwork for 20–40 shipments per day. This is a purely administrative role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is passionate about accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You’ll be reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with logistics, inventory, and operations teams.

This is not a warehouse-based role – we’re looking for someone who lives in the systems, not on the dock.

What You'll Do

  • Accurately create Bills of Lading (BOLs) and manage customs documentation
  • Handle domestic and cross-border shipping (Canada, U.S., and occasionally Europe)
  • Monitor, track, and maintain shipment records using internal systems
  • Ensure correct packing, labelling, and documentation for all outgoing shipments
  • Keep up with high-volume daily targets – 20–40 loads/day, with end-of-month spikes
  • Communicate proactively with carriers, freight brokers, and internal teams
  • Help identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently working in a role focused on shipping documentation, especially BOLs and customs paperwork
  • Recent experience with Canada–U.S. shipping; Europe is a plus
  • Tech-savvy with strong computer and admin skills
  • Proven ability to handle high volume shipping (based on skids), including LTL and FTL loads (10 to 28 skid spots per load)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure
  • High energy, reliable, and genuinely passionate about logistics admin
  • Clear communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary + comprehensive group benefits from day one
  • Performance bonus
  • High-energy, team-oriented environment
  • Engaging company culture with regular social events
  • Real opportunities to improve processes and make your mark
  • Exposure to a global shipping operation with future growth potential

If you’re passionate about logistics admin, love structure and process, and want to be a key part of a growing team, we want to hear from you.
