Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Toronto, ON facility. You will unload containers, inspect items, and coordinate damage claims with logistics to ensure accurate inventory control.

You will store goods, pick for orders and transfers, and maintain accurate records for purchasing and invoicing. Forklift operation and adherence to safety standards are required, with rotating shifts and warehouse upkeep as ongoing expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–2 years in shipping or warehousing
• Certified forklift operator for counter-balance and stand-up reach
• Experience with Raymond Reach Truck

Responsibilities

• Unload products from containers and inspect for damage
• Coordinate damage claims with the logistics department
• Open boxes and verify material against packing list for shortages
• Store products by location numbers and record the location
• Pick products for orders and transfers, recording serial numbers
• Call carriers and book deliveries; complete SOL/Waybill for invoicing
• Work with purchasing to resolve receipt discrepancies
• Record receiving, storage and issuing information for purchasing
• Assist Operations with maintenance coordination
• Place orders for pallets and warehouse supplies
• Repair damaged wooden crates and re-crate goods
• General housekeeping of the warehouse

• Open boxes and verify the count of material against packing list to determine if there are shortages.
• Store products by location numbers and record the location for retrieval.
• Pick products for orders and for transfer to other warehouses, recording the serial numbers.
• Call carriers and transports to book deliveries and complete accurate SOL/Waybill Scan shipping documents for invoicing purposes.
• Work with purchasing to resolve problems and/or discrepancies associated with receipt of goods.
• Record receiving, storing, and issuing information and provide to purchasing.
• Assist the Operations department, as required, in coordinating maintenance work within the the facility.
• Place orders for shipping pallets and warehouse supplies, as required.
• Perform repairs to any damaged wooden crates and re-crate goods.
• General housekeeping of the warehouse facility, sweeping concrete floors.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required.
