What To Expect

Tesla Toronto Automation builds automated equipment to support the assembly of Tesla products around the world. We seek a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to support the control and movement of materials in and out of our modern air-conditioned facility in Markham, ON. The role involves receiving materials from external suppliers and internal off-site locations, ensuring correct and good order receipt, approving invoices, and moving materials into our warehouse, shop floor, and office. The coordinator will also pack and load items for shipment to off-site locations, ensuring parts are safe, secure, and ready in a timely manner. The candidate will be cross-trained to support other Inventory Department duties as needed. This position requires interaction with employees at all levels across the organization. It is a full-time day shift, 44 hours/week, with occasional OT based on business needs.

What You'll Do

  1. Receive, verify, inspect, count, and stock materials according to procedures, and verify, pack, ship, and load outgoing materials.
  2. Load and unload materials onto or from trucks, carts, pallets, racks, for movement or storage, using hand or powered equipment.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed material records and logs.
  4. Perform cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
  5. Respond to calls and inquiries regarding materials, shipping, receiving, or other logistics activities.
  6. Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices in the work area, adhering to warehouse safety standards (e.g., PPE, proper equipment etiquette).
  7. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

What You'll Bring

  1. 3-5 years of prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  2. Experience operating counterbalance forklifts, regular forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and reach trucks preferred.
  3. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs., climb and reach regularly, and stand or walk most of the shift.
  4. Strong planning, organizing, and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands and deadlines.
  5. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Experience with accurate data entry into ERP systems.
