Job summary

Highline Mushrooms is hiring a part-time loader in Langley, BC. You will verify product quality, organize shipments, operate a power jack and forklift, and ensure proper temperature control for perishable mushrooms.

You will also handle shipping documents and work closely with the team to meet customer specs. The role requires weekend availability (Thu–Sun), roughly 24–32 hours weekly, with a $22.19/hour base pay plus a $0.50 evening premium.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
• Experience using a power jack is required.
• Experience handling shipping documents is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify vacuumed product and validate customer requirements.
• Organize loads for shipping and load trucks properly.
• Start reefer units on trucks and hold product as needed.
• Record shipping and final product quality documentation.
• Maintain and record proper temperature control of product.
• Check forklift battery weekly and refill if required.
• Run product through metal detector before final stage.
• Support vacuum cooler duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Duties:

• Verifies completed, vacuumed product, looking at product sku's and validating customer requirements

• Organizes loads for shipping, and loads trucks appropriately for customer delivery

• Starts reefer units on trucks, preparing to hold product

• Records required documentation pertinent to shipping and final product quality

• Maintains and records proper temperature control of product

• Checks battery of forklift weekly and fills if required

• Run product through metal detector, before the final stage

• Support Vacuum cooler duties as needed.

• Performs any other duties as assigned.

• Approximately 3-4 days/week, Thursday to Sunday

• Daily shift end times vary based on production needs

Earnings:

• $22.19

• $0.50 per hour premium for hours worked after 6:00p.m.
