Job description

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the position requires the Shipping and Receiving of all Parts, Equipment and Materials moving through our Sudbury Warehouse. You will be responsible for the organization and management of the Warehouse and Tool Crib in a Mechanical Contractor environment. You will be called upon to pick up and deliver parts, deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites, suppliers, and the shop within town, and some out of town travel will be required periodically.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pickup and delivery of materials using a Truck. Trips are mostly local in the Sudbury area, with occasional out of town day trips and rare out of town overnight trips.
  2. Loading and unloading of materials in the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor.
  3. Loading and unloading of materials on job sites.
  4. Manual labor to carry materials to/from specific areas on job sites (rooftops, mechanical rooms, etc.).
  5. Warehouse duties and cleanup.
  6. Manage Tool Crib.
Qualifications:
  1. Valid Ontario driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
  2. Valid forklift experience. Certificate will be required through the company.
  3. Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy materials on job sites, up to 50 lbs.
  4. Previous warehouse and delivery experience is an asset.
  5. Must be punctual and reliable.
  6. MUST be well organized and able to maintain tool crib inventory and warehouse stock.
