What You'll Get to Do
Reporting to the Stores Purchasing Manager, the Stores Clerk is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate inventory control of aircraft components in the Stores department. In addition, track and monitor the airworthiness of all aircraft components and parts in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.

  • Receiving and shipping of all materials as required including pickup and delivery
  • Informing the Stores Purchasing Manager of any irregularities in the airworthiness documentation for all aircraft components, parts and materials
  • Assist in inventory control, repair, and overhaul of any other area that requires additional support
  • Provisioning, receipt, preservation and issuing of all aircraft components, parts and materials as directed
  • Preservation, packing and dispatching of items for repair or overhaul
  • Overseeing the Stores Quarantine Areas, located within the Stores facility, and its contents
  • Identifying all aircraft components, parts or material via the Calm Air Tagging System
  • Monitoring shelf-life parts and authorizing removal of those items which have expired
  • Certifying Receiving Inspection tags for previously certified parts; this authority does not extend to any parts which have been repaired, tested or otherwise processed through Calm Air's approved shops
  • Ensure all materials related to the aircraft are maintained and stored in accordance with Transport Canada’s Aviation Regulations and Calm Air International policies and procedures
  • Complete inventory stock counts
  • Following all policies and procedures which will enhance and maintain operational safety and efficiency including all related roles and responsibilities in regard to the Calm Air SMS Program, as outlined in the SMS Manual, CA-1001
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience We Value

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset
  • Previous experience & knowledge in warehousing, receiving and inventory control considered an asset
  • Proven organizational, multitasking and time management skills
  • Excellent computer, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent listening skills with ability to follow direction
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Airport Identification Card (RAIC) and AVOP pass
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
