Qualifications

  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.

Join our dynamic Construction Team at The Canadian Brewhouse, where we’re dedicated to excellence in every project we undertake. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipper/Receiver & Skilled Labourer to join our team. This dual-role position involves overseeing shipping and receiving duties while also performing a variety of skilled labour tasks in support of our construction department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, safety-conscious, and has hands-on experience in fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities:

Shipping & Receiving Duties
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders/invoices
  • Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
  • Label, sort and organize inventory in the warehouse or storage yard.
  • Prepare items for outgoing shipments including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with transportation providers
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using inventory management tracking sheets.
  • Deliver to site and store, inventory and or millwork from shop
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
Skilled Labour Duties
  • Assist with construction, assembly, installation, or maintenance tasks as required.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading/unloading materials, and site clean up.
  • Follow site safety protocols and contribute to a safe woking environment.
  • Support skilled tradespeople (eg. carpenters, millworkers, operations) as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment.
  • Experience in general labour or skilled trades (construction, fabrication, etc.).
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Drivers License (Class 5 or equivalent) is a requirement, clean drivers abstract.
Work Environment
  • Indoor/outdoor work depending on tasks
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and physical environments
  • Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) required at all times.
