The Shipper-Receiver Operator will perform various warehouse tasks and operate warehouse equipment, following documentation and understanding warehouse processes and procedures with regular guidance. You will support efficient and safe operations.

Compensation: $32.14/hr

  • Operate the forklift in a SAFE and appropriate manner.
  • Ship feed orders in a safe, accurate, and timely fashion, ensuring orders are correctly labeled and shipping documents are accurate for each load.
  • Receive goods in a safe, accurate, and timely fashion, ensuring goods are in acceptable condition, the count is correct, and documentation is present and accurate (IF RECEIVING is REQUIRED).
  • Rotate stock and ensure maximum space usage.
  • Assist with semi-annual inventory, ensuring count is correct and documentation is legible and accurate.
  • Be aware of production schedules and check with Production Plan for availability.
  • Sort empty pallets into proper categories when required.
  • Repair and re-stack damaged feed when required.
  • Ensure shipping forklift is washed as necessary.
  • Use Label Printers and computers for re-labeling or customer address labeling as needed.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and fill out relevant forms.
  • Handle waste material in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Report equipment problems and safety concerns immediately to Supervisor and Manager.
  • Report quality issues related to incoming ingredients and shipments to the Manager, including improperly stacked pallets, wrapping, labeling, or damaged products.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to maximize efficiency.
  • Sweep warehouses daily to keep areas clean and orderly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Ability to perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, dust, loud noise, with PPE.
  • Ability to work at heights (4 feet and above).
  • Experience operating mobile equipment like forklifts.
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy, including data entry and retrieval, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CMMS like SAP.
  • Experience with Inventory Systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice.
  • Experience in production-related work.
