Shipper / Receiver / Materials Handler (Temporary, 12 Month Contract)

Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Shipper / Receiver / Materials Handler to work in our Whitecourt Service Centre for a 12-month temporary contract (full time hours). This position reports to the Manager, Valve Service in Whitecourt.

Role And Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, outgoing and internal deliveries
• Package outgoing shipments
• Handle inventory/stock, conduct stock counts, as required
• Printing tags for serviced/tested assets
• Handle carrier communications regarding shipping/receiving
• Computerized data input on various operating systems
• Painting and Palletizing of completed valves
• Maintain on-time delivery
• Maintain clean work area

Qualifications And Skills

• High School Diploma
• Previous shipping/receiving and/or warehouse experience considered an asset
• Basic computer skills are required
• Forklift operation (certification an asset but will train)
• Experience working in SAP would be an asset
• Ability to work independently, as well as in team environment
• Superior customer service skills and practices
• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Superior work ethic
• Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• This position has been deemed as Safety Sensitive – successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment Alcohol and Drug test
