Job Title: Shipper/Receiver III

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving candidate for a 1-year contract based in Richmond, BC. This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday). The Shipper/Receiver III will play a vital role in coordinating logistics and shipping operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate logistics across procurement, transportation, and warehousing to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations
• Act as the main contact for carriers to manage pick-ups, deliveries, and resolve shipment discrepancies
• Liaise with internal teams and customers to ensure logistics priorities and deadlines are met
• Ensure all international and domestic shipments include proper INCOTERMS and comply with customs regulations (e.g., NAFTA, FCC)
• Manage shipment claims and maintain accurate records of all shipments, including costs, volumes, and courier details
• Collect and verify documentation for import/export and customs compliance
• Verify incoming goods against purchase orders for quantity and condition
• Maintain a receiving log and update inventory records
• Follow up on incorrect or delayed items with the Purchasing team
• Acquire quotations for domestic and international shipments
• Track shipments from documentation issuance through to final delivery
• Enter data for CM/Configuration Management related to project and non-project hardware
• Identify and implement opportunities for process and productivity improvements
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of relevant shipping/receiving experience
Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills
Proficient with computer systems and documentation tools
Asset: Experience handling Carnet shipments, Dangerous Goods, ITAR/Canadian Controlled Goods, and trade show shipments
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Relevant post-secondary training is an asset
