Overview

Job Title: Shipper & Receiver (Forklift)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $23.00/hour

Location: Sutton Drive and Pachino Court, Burlington

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire

This is a long-term opportunity in a fast-paced automotive production facility. The ideal candidate will have long term experience as a shipper/receiver and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. We are looking for candidates who can interview and start as soon as possible!

Responsibilities
  • Verify incoming parts for correct quantities and visible damage (especially from machine shop), report and document issues immediately.
  • Tag and place all received items in designated area for contract review.
  • Ensure all incoming/outgoing parts are tagged and matched with proper documentation.
  • Notify Production Manager of any untagged parts in the shipping area.
  • Coordinate courier and freight services as needed.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to shipping/receiving.
  • Assist with part packaging when required.
  • Maintain sufficient propane inventory.
  • Perform wrapping, banding, labeling, and ensure skid packaging includes detailed drawings.
  • Participate in team projects and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge in handling dangerous chemicals
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment as well as strong customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • A valid forklift license
  • A valid G-class driver's license
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, verbal - English)
  • Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
