Job summary

AMA - Alberta Motor Association in Calgary is seeking a hands-on Warehouse/Operations Assistant to support our logistics team. You will help move materials, receive goods, and prepare shipments while ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license, and comfort with technology. We offer a competitive wage, benefits, and flexible work arrangements in an in-office setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Alberta Class 5 driver’s license required.
  • Experience in shipping/receiving or vehicle transport is an asset.
  • Comfort with basic computer use is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate transportation of materials by courier to AMA locations.
  • Oversee receipt of materials and ensure accurate inventory.
  • Document and track shipping/receiving in specialized software systems.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Report to the Supervisor, Warehouse Services.
  • Facilitate the transportation of materials by couriering items to AMA locations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery for scheduled and on‑demand requests.
  • Safely handle and lift items weighing up to 30 kg independently.
  • Oversee the receipt of materials from incoming vehicles, ensuring accurate inventory management.
  • Document and track shipping and receiving transactions utilizing specialized software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Assist a wide variety of building operation tasks to support AMA facilities, such as providing support building operators and/or contractors
What You Bring to the Table
  • You have a high school diploma.
  • You have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license.
  • You may not be a tech whiz but you’re pretty good at finding your way around a computer.
  • Experience in a shipping/receiving or vehicle transport environment would be an asset.
