Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Shipper/Receiver

Location: Toronto, ON (North York, ON)

Shift/Hours: Mon-Friday

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

We are working with a client located in Toronto in the Dufferin St & Lawrence Ave area. This company is a leading wholesaler & distributor of Plumbing & Heating products, providing quality customer service and knowledge throughout the GTA. They are looking to hire a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join their busy team.

Duties:

  • Receive, pick, pack, label, and ship products to customers.
  • Memorize and keep track of product locations.
  • Operate industrial-powered equipment (forklift, pump trucks, etc).
  • Restock and replenish bins as necessary.
  • Accurately prepare pallet loads and provide quality control of the products.
  • Maintain the work area cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse.
  • Check the goods for quality in the shipping & receiving areas.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies & procedures.
  • Fill in other positions if needed.
  • Complete all administrative tasks for the department.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Able to lift packages between 40lbs to 50lbs.
  • Able to lift/carry/move or arrange boxes while standing, stooping, or kneeling. The product can vary in size from pipes, toilets, bathtubs, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks.
  • Continuous learning.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Great attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Forklift experience & certificate to operate counterbalance and reach certificate an asset but not required. The company will train if needed.
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role.
