Job summary

Manufacturing Job Site in North York, ON, Canada is seeking a forklift operator at $20.00 hourly. You will load/unload deliveries, handle materials, and ensure accurate shipment documentation in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities include following work instructions, maintaining ISO 9001 standards, packaging, labeling, and coordinating with QA before shipment, with daily paperwork and organization tasks dominating the role. This is a safe, on-site position requiring careful operation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience with packaging, labeling and shipping.

Responsibilities

• Store / place raw material in designated areas.
• Take approvals from QA before shipment release.
• Maintain scrap and garbage bins and arrange waste removal.
• Get jobs ready for outsourcing.
• Operate and maintain forklifts.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
• Package, shrink wrap, label and ship products.
• Prepare shipment documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Spend ~2-3 hours daily on counterbalance forklift; rest on paperwork, shrink wrapping and organizing.

• Loading and unloading from delivery trucks

• Storing / Placing the raw material in their designated areas
• Taking approvals from the Q.A. Department before release of any shipment.
• Maintenance of scrap and garbage bins (calling waste removal service when required)
• Get jobs ready for outsourcing
• Maintain/operating all forklifts.
• Adhering to the formal standards of ISO 9001 standards
• Packaging, shrink wrapping, labeling and shipping product to customers and subcontractors
• Prepare documentation for shipments
• Other duties as may be assigned
• Will spend approximately 2-3 hours per day on the counterbalance forklift and remainder of time doing paperwork, shrink wrapping and organizing
