Packaging of Finished Goods: Packages all finished goods in the appropriate packaging according to established quality procedures and guidelines; signs off the work order in the specified area and updates the ERP business software to the appropriate status. Works with the sales and production teams to determine appropriate packing guidelines for finished goods. Prepares labels, product and packaging slips according to EHC procedures and cosmetic standards. Responsible for moving finished products to their proper storage area.
Shipping of Finished Goods: Responsible for the shipping process for all outgoing shipments; compares daily Ship list to the Bills of Lading and confirms that all outgoing goods are packaged and available for shipping; notifies Traffic if there is a discrepancy. Ensures all Bills of Lading match the packaged product according to skid, box and product counts, address, carrier and that all Bills of Lading are signed by the Shipper and the Carrier and a copy is retained. Ensures the Bill of Lading information and quantity count match the actual shipment information when shipping to satellite plants and miscellaneous items; notifies supervisor if there is a discrepancy.
Receiving Shipments: Ensures all carriers’ bills of lading correspond with the actual product/material received. Notifies Purchasing of any discrepancies prior to unloading or signing the bills of lading. Responsible for unloading the carrier and storing all materials in the designated staging areas for inspection by the Quality Department in order to obtain approval for release and use. Ensures material is labeled according to procedure. Responsible for storing all materials in the designated areas and specific racking using First-In-First-Out (FIFO).
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment: Maintains a safe and healthy environment by following EHC Health & Safety policies and procedures and complying with current Health & Safety legislation. Follows EHC’s Environmental policies and procedures to reduce impacts to the environment. Maintains quality service by following EHC standards and ISO procedures.
Team Effort: Contributes to team effort in order to complete all departmental tasks in a timely manner and also assists with tasks in other departments when required.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
Completion of High School or equivalent
Fork Lift Truck Certification Required
Proven high attention to detail while completing all tasks
Ability to produce accurate and consistent documentation
Ability to work independently and as a team in a changing environment
ERP experience would be considered an asset
Experience in Shipping/Receiving of raw, finished, and Dangerous Goods (Air & Road)
