We are looking for a Shipping Specialist/Pharmacy Assistant to join our dynamic specialized pharmacy in Calgary, AB. The scope of this role includes primarily working with couriers and other stakeholders to monitor and troubleshoot logistical issues for our parcel shipments but may also include other pharmacy tasks such as labelling drug and making calls to patients.

You Will Be Accountable To

  • Working with external stakeholders to resolve time-sensitive delivery issues, ultimately ensuring the parcel is delivered to the intended destination;
  • Verifying shipments are sent to the correct location and as per the expected delivery schedule;
  • Working with external stakeholders in our delivery process, from route drivers to account managers;
  • Working with each vendor's shipping software to create waybills for specific locations
  • Packing pharmaceutical products as per seasonal protocols;
  • Assist with dispensing activities, such as filling and labelling medication;
  • Assist with inventory activities, such as receiving orders and counting inventory weekly;
  • Participating in responding to communication from various stakeholders, including monitoring email accounts and answering phones

Your Experience Includes

  • High school diploma (or equivalent);
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role preferred. Experience relating to pharmaceuticals is an asset;
  • Minimum 40 words per minute typing speed;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning various vendor software;
  • Proven customer service skills;
  • Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills;
  • High attention to detail within a fast paced environment;
  • Ability problem solve, think critically, and make decisions; and
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
