Role Overview

Our manufacturing facility in Burnaby is seeking a reliable, dynamic, and flexible individual with great attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to expand your knowledge in logistics and packaging related to valuable equipment within a secure high-tech environment.

You will learn our SAP Operating System and collaborate with internal teams on improvements including packaging projects, SOPs, efficiencies, cost reductions, and team performance. Expected Contributions:

As a Shipping Logistics team member, you will handle various shipping functions such as Picking, Packaging, Shipping, Tracing, and completing international shipping documentation to ensure timely delivery.

1. Schedule shipments with carriers (truck, air, ocean) and follow up for on-time delivery.
2. Accurately and promptly enter shipping information (BOLs, invoices, declarations, tracking).
3. Coordinate crate orders with vendors, purchasing, and carriers.
4. Provide shipment updates to stakeholders.
5. Coordinate crating requirements with production and order management.
6. Create or update shipping & packaging SOPs as needed.
7. Purchase shipping materials cost-effectively.
8. Operate forklift or hand pallet trucks to load, unload, and transport parts.
9. Complete virtual shipping transactions as required.
10. Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
11. Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritization.
12. Be hands-on, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
13. Maintain strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
14. Multi-task and resolve conflicting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
15. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
16. Post-secondary education in logistics or customs compliance is a plus.
17. Knowledge of current customs & traffic requirements in high-tech industry is an asset.
18. SAP/MRP knowledge is an asset.
19. Willing to lift objects up to 50 lbs; heavier items may require two persons.
20. Perform other related duties as assigned.
21. Require at least 3 years of logistics experience.
