Job summary

A leading engineering firm in North Vancouver is seeking an Engineer II, Structural to engage in the design and production of various types of ships. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Naval Architecture or related fields, with a minimum of 2 years experience in Structural Design, and be familiar with relevant tools such as AutoCAD and ShipConstructor. The position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $41 to $50.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar position with heavy involvement in Ship Structures Design.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) designation with a recognized institution.
• Shipyard experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical solutions for Structural Design related issues.
• Input on Structural aspects of the design and build of ships.
• Maintain contact with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
