As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and be part of a company rated as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate information to the manager for team response to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training and provide respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance.
  • Recognize changes in partner morale and communicate them to the manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment with clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching.
  • Deliver legendary customer service, discover and respond to customer needs, and develop positive relationships with the team.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash management and follow policies.
  • Follow up with baristas during shifts to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide quality beverages and food products adhering to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments and collaborate on new recognition methods.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant environment.
  • Ability to direct others, learn quickly, communicate effectively, work as part of a team, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
