As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and create the Starbucks Experience by providing excellent customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. You will model Starbucks' guiding principles and be part of a company rated as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act with integrity, honesty, and promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  2. Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
  3. Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  4. Communicate effectively with the team and manager to foster a positive store environment.
  5. Assist with new partner training and provide respectful coaching and feedback.
  6. Report partner performance and morale issues to the store manager.
  7. Create a positive team environment through recognition and communication.
  8. Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer needs and building relationships.
  9. Manage store operations, including opening and closing duties.
  10. Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security.
  11. Ensure proper cash management and adherence to cash register policies.
  12. Coordinate with baristas to deliver outstanding customer service.
  13. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  14. Ensure product quality and presentation standards are met, following health and safety guidelines.
  15. Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments.
  16. Use operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork orientation.
