As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and create the Starbucks Experience by providing legendary customer service, maintaining a clean environment, and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Key Responsibilities
  1. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  2. Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep store operations smooth and set a positive example.
  3. Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  4. Communicate with the manager to respond effectively and create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  5. Assist in training new partners and provide respectful coaching.
  6. Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  7. Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale or performance to foster a positive team environment.
  8. Provide clear coaching to ensure operational excellence and improve partner performance.
  9. Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  10. Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
  11. Manage store operations during shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  12. Follow operational policies, including cash handling and safety procedures.
  13. Ensure proper cash management and follow all cash register policies.
  14. Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  15. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  16. Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products following standards.
  17. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  18. Recognize team accomplishments and collaborate on new recognition methods.
  19. Use operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant environments.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to lead others and learn quickly.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
