Shift Supervisor - Store# 55459, YONGE and LITTLE

Position Overview

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers, providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks' guiding principles, and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate the environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate vital information to the manager for team response and create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale and performance to the store manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment with clear, timely, and respectful coaching to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver legendary customer service, acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with team members.
  • Organize opening and closing duties and follow Starbucks' operational policies, including cash handling and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash management and follow all cash register policies.
  • Oversee the delivery of quality beverages and food products, adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
  • Maintain health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
