As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead a team, delegate tasks, and deliver the Starbucks Experience by providing excellent customer service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean store environment. You will model Starbucks' guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards are met and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond to store needs and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale and performance issues to the store manager.
  • Provide clear, respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
  • Organize opening and closing duties and follow operational policies, including cash handling and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash management and follow all cash register policies.
  • Monitor shift team to ensure delivery of high-quality beverages and products.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Recognize team accomplishments and collaborate with the store manager on recognition strategies.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve shift goals.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
