As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team to create the Starbucks Experience for customers by providing legendary customer service, ensuring prompt service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a positive workplace where people love what they do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to keep store operations running smoothly and set a positive example for the team.
  • Evaluate the environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the store team and manager to ensure a positive store atmosphere.
  • Support new partner training and provide respectful coaching to enhance performance.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance.
  • Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale or performance to the manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment through clear and respectful coaching.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
  • Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security to ensure partner safety.
  • Adhere to cash management policies and ensure proper practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure the quality of beverages, food, and products by following standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize team accomplishments and collaborate on new methods of recognition.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
