As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience through legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act according to Starbucks guiding principles, and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission with integrity and honesty.
  • Maintain composure during busy or unusual events to ensure standard operations and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to foster a welcoming 'Third Place' environment.
  • Support new partner training and provide respectful coaching.
  • Offer feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate team morale and performance issues to the store manager.
  • Provide clear, respectful coaching to partners for operational excellence and performance improvement.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude.
  • Identify and respond to customer needs.
  • Build positive relationships with team members, understanding their motivations and concerns.
  • Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Adhere to Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Follow cash management policies and ensure proper practices.
  • Monitor shift team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure quality beverages, food, and products are provided according to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments, collaborating on new recognition methods.
  • Use operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
