As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a positive workplace where employees love what they do.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks with integrity and honesty.
  • Maintain composure during high-volume periods or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by continuously evaluating the environment and cues.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond appropriately and foster the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale or performance to support a positive team environment.
  • Provide clear, respectful coaching and feedback to partners to ensure operational excellence and performance improvement.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Identify and respond to customer needs effectively.
  • Build positive relationships with the team by understanding individual motivations and concerns.
  • Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks policies and procedures for cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with baristas during shifts to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide quality beverages, food, and whole beans, adhering to standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments using organizational tools and collaboration with the store manager.
  • Use operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
Summary Of Experience
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
