As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by delegating tasks and creating the Starbucks Experience for customers through legendary service, quality beverages, and a clean environment. You will model and act according to Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a great workplace where people love what they do.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  1. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  2. Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example.
  3. Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  4. Communicate effectively with the manager to respond to store needs and create a welcoming environment.
  5. Support new partner training and provide respectful coaching.
  6. Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  7. Recognize and communicate partner morale and performance issues to the manager.
  8. Offer clear, timely coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  9. Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  10. Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with team members.
  11. Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  12. Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security.
  13. Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  14. Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  15. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  16. Provide quality beverages and food products adhering to standards.
  17. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  18. Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments.
  19. Utilize operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
