As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a positive work environment and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks with integrity and honesty.
  2. Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example.
  3. Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  4. Communicate effectively with the store team and manager to ensure a welcoming environment.
  5. Assist in training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  6. Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  7. Recognize changes in partner morale and performance, communicating these to management.
  8. Provide clear, respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  9. Deliver legendary customer service, respond to customer needs, and develop positive relationships.
  10. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  11. Follow operational policies, including cash handling and safety procedures.
  12. Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  13. Coordinate with baristas to ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
  14. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  15. Ensure quality beverages, food, and products are consistently provided according to standards.
  16. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  17. Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments, collaborating with the store manager on recognition methods.
  18. Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience and Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.
