Position Overview

As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and ensure the delivery of the Starbucks Experience through excellent customer service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean environment. You will model Starbucks' guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate the environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond to store needs and create a welcoming environment.
  • Assist in training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate changes in partner morale or performance to the manager.
  • Create a positive team environment with clear, timely coaching and feedback.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, responding to customer needs and building positive relationships.
  • Organize opening and closing duties, follow operational policies, and ensure cash handling and safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality, ensure quality beverage and food standards, and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Recognize team achievements and utilize operational tools to achieve excellence.
Experience & Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others, learn quickly, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
