As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by delegating tasks and creating the Starbucks Experience for our customers through excellent customer service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a company renowned for being a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and cues.
  • Communicate effectively with the manager to respond to the store's needs and uphold the Third Place environment.
  • Assist with training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance during shifts.
  • Create a positive team environment by recognizing morale and performance issues and communicating them to the manager.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by connecting with customers and responding to their needs.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned, follow operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Ensure proper cash management and adherence to all policies.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products following recipes and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team achievements and collaborate with the store manager on new recognition methods.
  • Use operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience & Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
