As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team, delegate tasks, and create the Starbucks Experience for customers through legendary service, quality beverages, and a clean environment. You will model Starbucks' guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks with integrity and honesty.
  • Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and manager to foster a welcoming "Third Place" environment.
  • Assist in training new partners and provide respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale and performance issues.
  • Offer clear, specific, and respectful coaching to partners on shift.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships.
  • Manage store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Ensure proper cash management and follow cash register policies.
  • Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure quality beverages and food products are prepared according to standards.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce team accomplishments and collaborate on new recognition methods.
  • Use operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
Experience & Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
  • Quick learner with effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of retail environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork-oriented attitude.
