As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks’ culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain composure during high-volume or unusual events, ensuring store standards are met and setting a positive example for the team.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and cues.
  • Communicate information to the manager for team response to create a welcoming environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing performance and morale issues and communicating them appropriately.
  • Create a positive learning environment through clear, respectful coaching and feedback.
  • Deliver legendary customer service, acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with team members.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Follow Starbucks’ operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products per standards.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments, collaborating with the store manager on recognition methods.
  • Use operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Experience & Skills
  • Customer service experience in retail or restaurant settings.
  • Ability to lead and direct others.
