As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by deploying partners and delegating tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers through legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles, contributing to a company consistently rated as a great place to work where employees love what they do.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acting with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintaining composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure store standards and set a positive example for the team.
  • Anticipating customer and store needs by evaluating the environment and customer cues.
  • Communicating with the manager to respond effectively and create the Third Place environment each shift.
  • Assisting with new partner training through positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Providing feedback on partner performance during shifts to the store manager.
  • Fostering a positive team environment by recognizing morale and performance issues and communicating them appropriately.
  • Providing clear, timely, and respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence and performance improvement.
  • Delivering legendary customer service, acting with a customer-first attitude, and connecting with customers.
  • Responding to customer needs and developing positive relationships with team members.
  • Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Following Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security to ensure partner safety.
  • Ensuring proper cash management practices are followed by the team.
  • Monitoring shift activities to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Providing quality beverages, food, and products according to standards.
  • Adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Recognizing and reinforcing team achievements using organizational tools and collaborating on new recognition methods.
  • Utilizing operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.
Summary Of Experience

Customer service experience in retail or restaurant environments.
