As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service, prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work.

Summary Of Key Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep store operations standard and set a positive example.
  • Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate store and customer needs.
  • Communicate information to the manager to respond effectively and create a welcoming Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during shifts.
  • Recognize and communicate partner morale or performance issues to foster a positive team environment.
  • Provide clear, timely, and respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and engaging with customers.
  • Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships by understanding individual motivations and concerns.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned, following Starbucks policies for cash handling, safety, and security.
  • Ensure proper cash management practices are followed during each shift.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognize and reinforce team and individual accomplishments using organizational tools and collaboration.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during the shift.
